1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. It helps the site remember your preferences and work smoothly.
2. Consent (Consent Mode v2)
The cookie preference panel lets you control analytics separately from advertising and personalisation, which are handled together under one switch. “Accept all” and “Reject optional” are presented equally. Until you consent, only strictly necessary storage is active; where enabled, Google measurement and advertising tags start in a denied state under Google Consent Mode v2.
3. Necessary storage (always on)
- mdr-privacy-v3 — stores your cookie choice in your browser's local storage (12 months).
- mdr-tag-consent — a cookie mirroring your choices for the remaining consent period (up to 12 months). The no-JavaScript Google Tag Manager fallback loads only if both optional purposes were previously accepted. It is removed when either purpose is switched off.
- Language and session preferences, where used — selected language and basic site operation.
- __cf_bm and similar security cookies, where used by the hosting and network provider — used briefly to protect the site against automated traffic.
- Cal.com technical storage, where the booking interface is enabled — only after you activate a booking button and the booking interface opens, to handle the time zone and booking session and to keep the service secure, for the periods set by the provider.
4. Analytics and advertising cookies (with consent)
The following provider cookies are used only where the relevant service is enabled and you have given the appropriate consent. Which cookies are set depends on the tags enabled in Google Tag Manager and the choices you make.
- General campaign parameters (e.g. utm_source) — stored for the browser session after analytics or advertising consent. Advertising click identifiers (e.g. gclid, gbraid, wbraid and fbclid) are stored only after advertising consent and are removed from the session if that consent is withdrawn. When a form is submitted, the current campaign parameters permitted by your consent choices become part of the enquiry and are retained for the same period as the enquiry.
- _ga, _ga_<id>, _gid — Google Analytics, traffic measurement (24 hours – 2 years).
- _gcl_au — Google Ads, conversion measurement and attribution (3 months).
- NID, IDE — Google, ad personalisation and remarketing (6–13 months).
- _fbp — Meta, campaign performance measurement and remarketing (3 months).
5. Changing your choice
